Humane Society Calumet Area Announces Complete Rebrand

The staff and board of directors of Humane Society Calumet Area have announced this week that they have officially changed their name to Humane Indiana. Although their name has changed, their commitment to leading the community in the humane treatment of all animals remains the same.

Rachel Delaney, CEO shares, “We are so pleased to present to you, our new name and logo. The organization has grown and changed so much since I started as a volunteer in 2004. I’ve had the pleasure of watching us transform from a small animal shelter to an organization that also includes a low-cost spay/neuter clinic, wildlife center, education center, and resale shop.”

During this growth, Humane Indiana remains committed to sheltering homeless animals and helping them find loving homes. Just as they changed their name from Hammond Humane Society to Humane Society Calumet Area to reflect the evolution of the organization beyond one city, the change to Humane Indiana represents the expansion of their services to all of Northern Indiana and the state of Indiana to represent the scope and reach of the organization’s impact.

A new logo along with an updated vision statement has been created with the help of Sawdust Creative Agency and Humane Indiana’s board of directors. The new logo incorporates both domestic animals and wildlife, with the center of the logo being the state of Indiana. The new logo reinforces Humane Indiana’s commitment to all animals in the state of Indiana.

Lisa Carpenter, CDO, shares her enthusiasm, “We are thrilled with the evolution of our organization and our brand. Humane Indiana represents the scope of our organization and the love and commitment we have towards all animals. Our new website is state of the art, and we allow so many people to find their new pet or register to volunteer. You can easily participate with Humane Indiana through events and community partnerships by connecting online. The new website also allows you to learn about our wildlife education seminars and our low-cost clinic too. We have the opportunity to offer high quality services to the community and we are extremely dedicated to serving the animals of Indiana.”

Humane Indiana’s new website launched the same day the organization announced their new name. The new website will increase Humane Indiana’s online presence and help consumers navigate easily through the various pages.
